We sit, we read, we talk it through.
We sit quietly for a while. We read a little — the Four Agreements, Choice Theory, Man’s Search for Meaning, Zen Mind, Beginner’s Mind, one of these books, whatever fits you. Then we talk it through.
The years of becoming who you are
These were the years I was most open, and the ones that changed me most. Someone sat with me every week for three years at that age and handed me the right book at the right moment. That is what I am passing on.
Students and young adults
For high school and college students, and young adults finding their footing.
Every person is different; I link you to whatever inspires you.
School, work, love — whatever you’re carrying comes with you; nothing has to be decided before you sit down.
Readers of the books
Also for readers of the books, at any age, who want a weekly sitting.
The same hour, at the same price.
One-on-one, in Ashland or online.
Weekly is how it works. Not because a rule says so, but because something only settles when it is returned to.
For anyone under eighteen, sessions are arranged with a parent, who knows when and where each one is.
Sitting
Sitting isn’t therapy. If you need more than this, I’ll say so.
There is a deeper practice for those who want to go further — Inner Space Techniques, ninety minutes of lying down and going inside.
