Sessions

What happens in a session.

Sixty minutes. You lie down, and you go in.

What follows is the whole shape of an hour, so you know it before you arrive.

The process

One hour, start to finish

  1. We talk first — what brings you to IST, and where we will direct our focus.
  2. You lie down.
  3. I walk you through a meditative technique to begin moving inward.
  4. The energy lands. You begin to share your experience, and we engage the IST process.
  5. At the end, I have you sit up.
  6. I summarise the session and give you corresponding homework.
  7. You ask any clarifying questions, about the session or the homework.
Two ways to meet

Online, or in Ashland

Online

After scheduling you receive a Google Meet link.

On the day, you wait briefly in my waiting room while I finish the session before yours.

We begin on video if your connection is good, talk through what brings you, then turn the video off.

You lie down on a bed, a mattress, or anywhere comfortable — wherever you are.

In person

After scheduling you receive directions to my office in Ashland.

I meet you at the door and welcome you in.

You lie down on a Japanese futon on the floor.

How many sessions

As many as the thing takes.

Most people work through an initial process of somewhere between three and sixteen sessions, depending on what they have come with. After that you are welcome whenever you want or need more.
